Abstract

Join Konstantin on this short lecture where we will focus on how Economics has influenced the field of medicine. How medicines can be thought of goods, and how that can influence treatment decisions both in a negative and in a positive way.

Short Bio:

Konstantin Tachkov completed his pharmaceutical education at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Sofia in 2014, where he also earned his PhD degree at the department of Health-Economics and Social Pharmacy. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Organization and Economics of Pharmacy. His main interest lies in drug financing and pricing policies, with a particular focus on mathematical models for predicting disease progression. He has published in both national and international journals and has attended multiple courses on both economic methods and statistical methods in healthcare.
